Product Review: Earthly Delight Conditioner

Cost: $15.99 for 16 oz bottle from Whole Foods

Ingredients: Deionized water, vegetable glycerine, rice bran oil, avocado oil, wheatgerm protein, panthanol, amino acids, vegetable emulsifying wax, essential oils of neroli, cinnamon & coconut

Aesthetics: The casing is a simple clear plastic bottle.  It has a plastic pull up spout that the conditioner comes out of.  The conditioner is fairly viscous and is a beige color.  I would compare its consistency to yogurt. It smells like conditioner. LOL, I know that's not a great description, but the smell isn't very strong, not particularly exotic or awful.

PROS: This conditioner has some top notch ingredients.  I use this conditioner as a detangling conditioner and my hair responds to it very well.  When I use it, my hair has a lot of slip, thus, I can work through tangles very easily.  This doesn't leave a residue on my hair, however I do rinse VERY well to ensure it's fully rinsed out of my scalp.

CONS: Price.  This stuff is expensive.  I probably get about 8 washes out of one bottle.

Bottom line: I have yet to find a conditioner that provides slip like this one, so I'll pay the price to save myself time and hair loss during my detangling session.

  1. Thanks for posting this helpful review. I have to say though, I think you're using tooooo much conditioner! I am getting 12 or applications which amounts to a little over a buck for each use. I think you should use less, and leave it in longer. I am loving this product! Whole Foods ran out of "Knot Today" conditioner (which is also great) so Earthly was my plan B. I'm glad. I now have a new, and favorite conditioner! It tames my too-wavy hair, and gives it strength. That this conditioner contains coconut is also important to me. I find that a coconut conditioning (pure, and virgin coconut oil) gives my hair great slip, and great strength. Last thing: I loooooove the smell of Earthly Delight Hair Conditioner. I wish they made incense like that! It is earthy, warm, and gentle. Peace! -Jardin
