Skip Spring, Hello Summer

The weather in Philly has officially skipped spring and moved right on to summer. Just last week the weather was still in the 40s and 50s, and for the past few days, the weather has been in the 80s, YES 80s - WITH SUN!!!

I'm a summer baby - my birthday is in August. Naturally, I love summer, but the weather can be pretty unbearable. I would always look at pregnant women in the hot summer months and feel awful for them. I mean, I know how miserable "too hot" weather can be for me, so I could only imagine what it's like when you're carrying someone else. I now have become that woman that I feel bad for. Only feeling bad for  yourself is self-pity which is no fun. Thus, I will try to keep things composed over the summer by carrying an ice pack and cold bottle of water with me wherever I go.

PS - You already know I'm carrying small. My OB said I would "pop" at 26 weeks - she wasn't lying! I'm 27 weeks on Friday, which is the tail end of month 6, and I finally look like I'm carrying something other than lots of Twinkies! Prior to this week, people would still look at me unsure if the belly was "extra" or a baby.

  2. @Positive Innergy - I get really confused when ppl are surprised when I say I'm pregnant, I'm like, 'uh with a belly like this?"
    @LaNeshe - I'm in Fairmount, that's where I take all my pictures!

  3. I'm loving this skirt! The high waisted skirt threw me off, I thought this was a super cute dress until I read on. I like how you paired them together.

    You are a beautiful momma and I am one of the women feeling bad for the pregnant women in the summer time as well!
