I rarely have a "real" office day, meaning a day when I go into an actual office where most people aren't wearing jeans and a grungy tee. However today, I'm going into a REAL OFFICE. I'm sure it's not all it's cracked up to be, but dressing like this is pretty awesome.  Although my job doesn't require business professional attire 90% of the time, I still have some professional attire because it is one of my favorite "genres" for clothing AND because I do have other activities that require business attire. Read this to mean I love to shop for stylish business attire. So basically, I've convinced myself that one day I'll have a reason to need 3 pairs of wide leg pants, 4 pencil skirts, and 3 other business slacks...and the reason won't be that they're all really cute. If this doesn't make sense to you, that's fine. I think I've confused myself now too.

PS - I don't wear prescription glasses, but I LOVE to wear fashion glasses that LOOK like prescription glasses!
 PSS - I used to LOVE Steve Urkel (from Family Matters), and I think he would dig this outfit, plaid and glasses is such a sophisticated nerd look!

Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit is my favorite movie of all time. The mix of the chorus scenes with high school kids stank attitudes and Whoopi Goldberg's acting was an all around win for me. Now, I'm not dressed like a nun today, and I'm also not dressed like a teen from the 90's. However, I am back in the habit of getting some regular outfit pics up. I totally meant to get dressed yesterday, and post pics today, but work ran late and I didn't get home before the sun went down. Thus, I stayed dress in my "steel-toe boot wear" ::rolls eyes::. I didn't look too crazy - polo layered with a long-sleeve shirt underneath and boot-cut khakis. Anyway, I really never got out the habit, since I only "missed" an outfit post yesterday, but I needed to tie my outfit into the movie, and this was all that came to mind. Don't hate me, I'm telling the truth when I say it's my favorite movie. Ask anyone that knows me - I know the entire soundtrack!!!

Stretching & Styling My Hair

Remember my original post on washing and detangling my hair? Well, I finally sat down and edited its successor! The video below shows how I stretch and style my hair after I wash it. This method is similar to what kimmaytube does here. This may be old news to some of the "seasoned" naturals and new for the newbies!

Stretching my hair is vital for my styling, I do all of my styling on stretched hair because I find that my hair is easier to manage when stretched. I also find that it tangles much less. Here's the video, I hope you enjoy it!

I look through J. Crew's catalog for several reasons

1. Styling options - I totally swipe style ideas from their models
2. Poses for my style posts
3. Male model eye candy

Ok...I'm kidding about the third one...kind of! However, I'm telling the honest truth abut the first two. In fact, I stole the pose from the last pic from J. Crew's Holiday catalog. As soon as I saw the girls doing this pose I thought, "YES! This pose is perfect for outfit thirty because an OK totally doubles for a 30!" I know I probably had to explain it for you to see it...and my hair is totally covering my eye, which looks creepy. But remember guys, I'm no professional. Just a girl who likes to take pictures of herself and share part of her world with people who care to tune in.

I like this outfit a lot. I think it's because of the monochromatism. I love the look: the varied textures, the pop of color with my lips and nose ring. This is just a great look for the style that I'm feeling right now. I needed an outfit like this because I was starting to question myself with some of the last couple of things I threw together....

I'm totally losing track of things. I forgot that the first of the month passed - hello, rent is due! Then, I didn't remember which outfit number I was on...I thought, is this number 29? LOL - wishful thinking! Then I almost forgot today was Friday. Clearly Friday is the best day of the week, so you can NEVER forget Fridays. Oh well, I blame this cold weather for freezing over part of my brain. I also totally lost all feeling in my fingers and toes while taking these pics...yep, one hour later and these babies are STILL WARMING UP! Thank God it's Friday!

PS - After looking at these pics I had to ask myself if I already did this remix, LOL. No worries, I checked, so it's totally legit...2 more to go!!!
